When your thinking Fall recipes, we always think pumpkins and apples, but what about a Ginger Cookie?

I fell in love with this soft and spicy cookie the first time I tasted it.  This old recipe came from a very dear lady in Burdett, Kansas. I now make this cookie every Fall.

I took these cookies to our block dinner party and everyone wanted the recipe. I said, "Check my blog!" so here is the recipe.

Ginger Crinkles

2/3 cup oil
1 cup sugar
1 egg
4 Tablespoon molasses
2 cup flour
2 teaspoon soda
2 teaspoon ginger
1 teaspoon cinnamon
1/2 teaspoon salt

Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
Mix oil and sugar, add egg and beat well. Stir in molasses. Sift all dry ingredients and add slowly to mixture and blend well. Drop teaspoon of batter in sugar and then form into a ball and place on ungreased baking sheet 3 inches apart for 11 minutes. Do not over bake.
Makes 3 dozen.
