June Azalea

Azalea after a soft wash of rain.

Picture
My azaleas have all been moved except for one, at least a couple of times. I have heard it said that a true gardener is always digging and moving plants. I will go with that thought, and not that I am crazy and eccentric. Always a work in progress!

Picture
I have all my azalea's now on level 4, of my side, cottage garden, which by the way is on the north side of the house. This is the last one to bloom each year. I have azalea's that bloom from March through June. Makes my heart so happy.

Picture
This may be my favorite azalea, but then again it depends which one is in bloom at the time.

Love the sweet pink shade of this one. Do you know the variety?

Oh I wish I did! It was one of the first ones that I planted over ten years ago, and of course have moved at least twice. Sorry.

I've never grown azaleas (the soil is too sweet I think) but this one is just so beautiful, I'm envious.

The soil here is so rocky. I think it grows rocks overnight, but we are able to have beautiful azaleas and hydrangeas. I came from western Kansas where it is just to cold and dry to grow them, so I do love being able to have azaleas.

Pretty pictures of azaleas. Love the pink. And I know what you speak of about moving things over and over. I drive my own self crazy doing that!
